Tasks
- Review BOMs and maintain procurement tracking lists.
- Define prototype quantities, spare parts, and delivery schedules.
- Identify and manage suppliers, including NDA administration.
- Prepare and issue RFQs based on technical and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate supplier communication and quotation clarifications.
- Analyze and compare supplier offers (cost, lead time, capability, risk).
- Support supplier selection and conduct commercial negotiations.
- Place purchase orders following approval and monitor order execution.
- Track deliveries, manage risks, and report procurement status.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, quality, and logistics teams.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (technical background preferred).
- Minimum 4–5 years of purchasing experience in the automotive industry, preferably within the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) area.
- Ability to understand technical documentation and BOM structures.
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- MS Excel and analytical capabilities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a project environment.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-oriented approach.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
