Tasks
- You assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive simulation model for the charging (AC- and DC charging processes) of electric vehicles
- You support the adaptation of the compatibility of the model with battery systems of different voltage levels (400V and 800V)
- You help model the thermal behavior of the vehicle battery during the charging process
- You are dedicated to the development of a model to simulate battery aging under different charging conditions
- You take over the integration of the individual sub-models into an overall model as well as its testing and debugging
- You prepare the written and scientific documentation of the entire development process
Qualification
- You are an enrolled student (m/f/d) in the field of electrical engineering, automotive engineering or a comparable course of study
- You have a basic understanding of how electric vehicles, battery storage systems and power electronics work
- Ideally, you have some experience with modeling and simulation tools, preferably MATLAB/Simulink
- Ideally, you have knowledge of a programming language (e.g. Python)
- You have strong analytical skills and an independent, structured way of working
- You are highly motivated to familiarize yourself with new and complex topics
- You have a good command of English (B2) and German (B2)
