YOUR ROLE
As part of a current initiative, we are developing strategies to support the climate-neutral transformation of an industrial business district. The goal is to design future-oriented energy supply concepts – both for individual companies and the site as a whole. The thesis will focus on analyzing energy demands, evaluating centralized and decentralized supply solutions (e.g., district heating, hydrogen, photovoltaics, storage systems, heat pumps), and identifying and quantifying opportunities for coordinated energy generation and use across stakeholders. You will help derive actionable transformation pathways for a concrete industrial site that align industrial energy needs with a scalable, efficient local energy ecosystem. The work combines systems analysis with strategic thinking – bridging engineering and management – and offers direct insights into high-impact decision-making in sustainable industry.
YOUR PROFILE
- You are successfully pursuing a degree in a technical/business/engineering/energy-related field of study at a top-tier university.
- You ideally bring practical experience from consulting or a technical industry, giving you a solid foundation to build on.
- You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to tackle complex problems.
- You are a motivated, committed team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
- You communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
