FEV UK is the subsidiary of FEV Group for the British market covering the UK customers and together with our global teams we deliver projects. From our modern UK test and engineering centre in Coventry we work on exciting e-powertrain projects contributing to significant reduction in CO2 in transportation and mobility.
Tasks
- Lead the project management function for FEV UK and responsible for line management functions in the project manager and engineering teams in an automotive development environment
- Implementing efficient & effective project management processes
- Provide oversight and governance to FEV UK project management team and track the finances, quality and timing are on track to budget
- Leading the process for generating customer proposals, project plans and driving these through to completion
- Line management for sections of the engineering teams and working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to motivate and ensure successful project delivery
- Resource planning and recruitment for project management and engineering functions
- Lead transformational and continuous improvement projects in a small supportive Organisation
Qualification
- Opportunity for a project manager or engineering team leader in an engineering business to develop to the next level towards senior leadership
- Practical project management or engineering line management experience, ideally in an automotive or engineering industry
- Team leadership or line management experience essential
- Highly motivated, organised and approachable person with the ability to lead and motivate cross functional engineering teams
- Strong numeracy, literacy and logic with great communication, hands on attitude, passionate interpersonal and people skills
- Experience in delivering and dealing with customers in a technical environment
- Degree qualified, ideally from a business, engineering or science related background
