From our modern UK test and engineering centre in Coventry we work on exciting e-powertrain projects contributing to significant reduction in CO2 in transportation and mobility.

Tasks

  • Responsible for day-to-day operation of our Test Cells in Coventry
  • Customer communication to ensure accuracy of the test plan 
  • Writing the test specifications, developing test scripts - either from scratch or from existing components; programming and monitoring of drive cycles 
  • Supporting the installation and commissioning of test objects into test rigs/cells 
  • Maintenance of engine and Test Cell 
  • Running Hydrogen programmes for ICE and FC 
  • Interpretation of project targets and writing of test specifications. 

 

Qualification

  • Knowledge of internal combustion engines operating principles (Gasoline, Diesel and Hydrogen), Good powertrain mechanical, electrical, electronic background 
  • Hands-on experience of engines, including engine and component strip, repair and assembly 
  • Experience of fuel injection, ignition and emission component operation, diagnostic scan tools for fault finding and repair 
  • Understanding of modern vehicle electrical systems (engine management, harness, electronic systems) 
  • Ability to log and record engine and transmission scan tool OBD data 
  • Experience in test bed operation and test bed control systems 
  •       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 2 years minimum experience in a related industry 
  • Understanding of data acquisition software/hardware; Inca, Uniplot, MatLab, etc  
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills. 
  • Ability to plan and manage your time, prioritise several tasks in a timely way with the ability to communicate and work with others
