Tasks

  • CAD design (Solidworks) at an advanced level
  • Product support from concept, through design, fabrication and assembly
  • Design tasks in the following areas: refrigeration systems, electrical systems, enclosures, structural components, drive trains, etc.
  • Conceptual work, proposals for technical solutions, communication with suppliers and purchasing department
  • Creation and detailing of 3D models with emphasis on DFM (design for manufacturing)
  • Creation of 2D manufacturing documentation according to dimensioning and tolerancing standards of technical drawings as well as according to required design standards (ISO, DIN, EN, JIS, etc.)
  • Understand and implement standard CAE simulation results
  • Project support for technical evaluation (creation of decision matrices, calculation of tolerance chains, preparation of design reports, etc.)
  • Support prototype procurement and quality assurance activities (FMEA, HAZOP)
  • Willingness to travel and support the launch of test beds domestically and internationally (launch supervision)
  • Contact with customer engineering departments

Qualification

  • Minimum of an engineering degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in design, development, release and production implementation
  • Expertise in: sheet metal forming, stamping, extrusion, casting, joining, product launch and assembly and manufacturing
  • Experience working with a variety of materials: steel, aluminum, plastics
  • Experience with typical joining processes: gluing, welding, bolting, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of CAD (full proficiency in Solidworks) and design documentation systems
  • Ability to coordinate projects
  • Communicative oral and written English skills
