Tasks

Perform evaluation of the security risks on the vehicle or vehicle fleet

Involved in development of projects lifecycle from ideation, design, coding to implementation:

o Define requirements and select hardware for secure embedded systems

o Design specifications of security related requirements for automotive controllers, including both hardware and (basic) software related requirements

o Write low-level software to enable the use of security hardware

o Work with Software Engineers to integrate security systems with FEV software infrastructure

o Collaborate with teammates on the Cybersecurity team to design secure systems

Develop and advise on execution of security implementations for Mobility proof-of-concepts and innovation advanced projects

 Execution of security related activities within automotive software development projects, ranging from definition of security targets, risk/threat modeling, and implementation

 Prepare presentations, document learnings, disseminate reports

Qualification

A degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related qualification

5+ years professional experience building embedded systems

Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g. CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, etc.)

Knowledge of security-related standards and databases, ideally from both automotive and non-automotive industry, e.g. ISO DIS 21434, CVE

Experience writing software for embedded microcontrollers in C or C++

Experience debugging embedded system software and hardware using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.

Nice to have experience with: Python, Adaptive Autosar, Embedded Linux, Matlab/Simulink

Any cyber security / network certifications are desirable (CompTIA Security+, Palo Alto, CISSP, CCNA, etc.)

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills
